Finally the symbol for our Indian Rupee !!! People are so exited and praising the design ...

I say its OK .. it is just a mix of the devnagari script 'Ra' and the 'dash' from the Aussie Dollar !!!
Why did it take 60 years for India to have a symbol ... and why now ??? Did i miss something or India is going to SYMBOLISE its presence in the world....

the most amusing things that would follow this would be T-shirts with the Rupee Symbol , All price tags would have the symbol.
But here is the twist ...the new symbol has to be accepted by the Unicode Consortium's Unicode Technical Committee that is responsible for the development and maintenance of the Unicode Standard, including the Unicode Character Database.

So all keyboards would have this symbol ( including mobile phones !!! ) in an time of 1-2 years ....

Paul and the predictions !!

What the hell.. people betted on this animal and they were in profits !!! What a deadly coincidence !!
12 predictions correct so far.. the most famous were that or Spain .. winning semis as well as the finals.

I guess the national animal for Spain would be an Octpus sooooooon
